The original club house was built in 1980/1
and included a kitchen, washrooms and a gathering area.
In 1992 an extension was completed that
doubled the size of the club house and provided room for two short mats or four
carpet bowls mats for indoor bowling.
On the club’s 25th anniversary,
construction commenced on a further expansion of the club house and included an
Indoor Green. This expansion project was completed in the summer of 2007.
The new facility includes three regulation
sized full length rinks in the indoor green arena. The total area, including the spectator viewing section is
approximately 46m x 16.5m (150 ft x 54 ft).
In addition, a number of rooms (locker, meeting, office, storage, cloak,
janitor’s) were built.
There are only two Indoor Bowling
facilities in North America and our club is the only Lawn Bowling Club on the
continent that has an outside and indoor facility at the club.
